All pupils applying for entry are invited for an interview and age relevant assessment. Most pupils would enter the school in Nursery (September following their third birthday) or Reception (September following their fourth birthday). However, there may be opportunities for children to join at other entry points depending on the availability of spaces. In Year 5 an additional class is created in order to allow a new intake of pupils. There is also an entry in Year 7 and children join the school for the final two years, before transferring to senior school.
Registration
Once you have visited Crosfields and if you are keen for your child to join us, we advise that you submit a registration form as soon as possible. Once your child is registered you will receive all the relevant communication from Crosfields about your child joining us.
The registration form, which can be downloaded below, should be sent to the Headmaster’s PA together with the non-refundable registration fee of £50. Interviews normally take place in the February of the year of entry and, where applicable, a reference from the child’s current school will be requested at this time. Following a satisfactory interview, a place will be offered (subject to availability) in writing. To secure your child’s place, you will then need to send a deposit cheque of £200. The deposit cheque is refunded once your child completes their education at Crosfields.
Waiting Lists
Should a place not be available for your child, their name will be added to the waiting list for their year group. You will be advised where your child is on the waiting list and you will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available.
