New swimming pool to open in Olympic year

Crosfields is delighted to confirm that planning approval for their new swimming pool project was granted by Wokingham Borough Council in January. The state of the art pool is the next large scale development project for the School.

After Crosfields

At Crosfields we believe that there are many benefits for children who complete years 7 and 8 in our care. During these senior years the children move into adolescence in a nurturing and familiar environment, before transferring onto a senior school. Both challenged and supported by staff who know them well, our senior pupils grow hugely in confidence and maturity in these crucial final two years.

The children benefit greatly from the experience of having reached the top of their school and enjoy the many opportunities which are on offer.  From assuming the role of prefect, to heading up the school council and assisting with key school events, the delight our senior pupils take in these new responsibilities is evident year on year.

In the classroom our pupils are encouraged to work independently with increased personal responsibility, so helping to prepare them for the move to senior school.

While we recommend to parents continuing their child’s education at Crosfields, we recognise that for some families a move at year 6 is their preference. At age 11, we have excellent links with a range of independent and grammar schools in the local area including Reading Blue Coat School and Reading School for boys and Queen Anne’s School, Caversham and Kendrick School.

At 13+ entry, Crosfields has strong links with co-educational independent schools both nearby and further afield, including Wellington College, Pangbourne College and Bradfield College as well as the option to move to Reading School at this later stage.

Schools which feature most regularly with our 13 plus leavers are listed below.  Clicking one of the links below will take you to the schools website.
