New swimming pool to open in Olympic year

Crosfields is delighted to confirm that planning approval for their new swimming pool project was granted by Wokingham Borough Council in January. The state of the art pool is the next large scale development project for the School.

The Crosfields Former Pupils' Association

The Crosfields Former Pupil’s Association (CFPA) was formed in 2007 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebration, with the aim of re-uniting Former Pupil’s who may have lost contact with each other since leaving the School. Our membership currently (18th November 2011) stands at 275, with new members joining each year as they leave the school as pupils. We want to keep them in touch with their school friends and the school itself, and subsequently we host regular re-union dinners to which they are all invited to attend.

CFPA TieWe produce an annual full-colour Newsletter (16 pages in 2010), with up to date news of our members, and also all the latest school news. This is sent out to our members each December, along with a copy of the latest “Oakleaf” magazine.

We have hosted two CFPA Sportman’s evenings for our members and their guests. In 2008 we welcomed Charles Colvile (Sky Sports Cricket Presenter), and his two guests, England Test match stars, Alec Stewart and Graham Thorpe. While this year (2010) we were treated to a truly magical evening with Tony Gubba (BBC Television) and the former Manchester United and England player, and former Reading FC Manager, Steve Coppell.

This year (2010) saw the introduction of a CFPA Golf day, held at the beautiful Bradfield College Golf Club. This will now become an annual event, to be held during June / July each year to which all CFPA members will be invited to attend.

For just £7.50 per annum, paid by direct debit you can join the CFPA, and in your first year you will receive with our compliments, a beautiful silk CFPA members tie which we very much hope you will wear with pride!
