Coming Up

Welcome back to the second half of term. Firstly we would like to say many congratulations to the Junior Girls’ Choir who won their class at Maidenhead Festival last week.

Congratulations to Lake House, winners of the Year 4 Inter-house handball competition and to Park, winners of the Year 3 competition. Other    Inter-house matches this term are Year 4 boys’ football on Friday, 18 November and Year 3 boys’ football and Year 3 girls’ hockey is on Thursday, 24 November and Year 4 girls’ hockey  on Friday, 25 November. All of these Inter-house matches take place at 11.15 and you are all very welcome to come and watch but we regret that no refreshments are served on these occasions. All the children who ordered their mouthguard through Protectasmile should have now received them ready for the change over to rugby on Monday, 28 November. The girls will start their netball training on the same date.

As part of the Year 3 healthy eating topic there is a trip to Pizza Express where they get to taste different foods and are given the opportunity to make their own pizza. You will receive a letter nearer the time with the date they are going and all the other important details you need.

Thursday, 8 December and Friday, 9 December is the Junior School Christmas Concert with allthe classes and music groups performing each day. In essence it is the same concert on both days but for those of you who choose to come on both occasions there are slight differences to each performance.

Wednesday, 14 December is the last day of school and this year term will finish with the Carol Service at Wellington College at 7.00pm. All the choirs will be singing and all children in the Junior School are requested to attend. If they are not in the choirs then we ask that they sit with their parents.

We hope you have an enjoyable second half of term and look forward to seeing you at some of the forthcoming events.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to ask a member of the Junior Team.
