Autumn Term
In our topic Seaside Holidays the children will:
- Discuss differences and similarities of seaside holidays in the present and in the past
- Discuss how often, and for how long, people went on holiday 100 years ago
- Discuss the clothing that people wore to the seaside 100 years ago and what entertainment they enjoyed
- Discuss the journey that people took and the transport they used to go to the seaside 100 years ago
In our topic ‘Toys’ the children will:
- Bring in their favourite toy and describe characteristics of their toy using appropriate language
- Look at old bears and new bears and identify similarities and differences
- Discuss characteristics of toys that show us whether a toy is old or new, looking at how they are made and from what they are made
