Autumn Term

In our topic Seaside Holidays the children will:

• Discuss differences and similarities of seaside holidays in the present and in the past
• Discuss how often, and for how long, people went on holiday 100 years ago
• Discuss the clothing that people wore to the seaside 100 years ago and what entertainment they enjoyed
• Discuss the journey that people took and the transport they used to go to the seaside 100 years ago

In our topic ‘Toys’ the children will:

• Bring in their favourite toy and describe characteristics of their toy using appropriate language
• Look at old bears and new bears and identify similarities and differences
• Discuss characteristics of toys that show us whether a toy is old or new, looking at how they are made and from what they are made
