Autumn Term

- Count at least 20 objects and 1-20 forwards and backwards

Spring Term
Number
- Begin to understand that more than two numbers can be added together and learn strategies for adding three numbers together
- Recognise and count in odd and even numbers to 20
- Subtraction
- Begin to know what each number in a two digit number represents
- Know “by heart” the addition pairs that make 10
- Begin to know “by heart” addition pairs with a total of 5,6,7,8,9
- Know “by heart” doubles that total up to 10 and begin to know doubles to total 20
- Identify near doubles using doubles already known.
- Recognise ordinal numbers to 10
- Begin to know corresponding subtraction facts for known addition pairs
