Autumn Term

Unit 1: Writing stories.

This unit focuses on practising word processing techniques and includes:

Recognising the features of word-processed text
Using the Backspace key to make corrections
Using the Space Bar key to separate words
Using the Shift key and Caps Lock key to create capital letters
Using the Return key to create line breaks
Inserting and deleting text
Use of the Undo function to correct mistakes.
Saving and printing work.

Unit 2: Pictures

This unit focuses on using the following:

Brush Tool
Pen Tool
Spray Tool
Floodfill Tool
Straight Line Tool
Geometric Shapes Tool

These tools are used to generate pictures in a variety of styles, with reference to the work of the Impressionists, Jason Pollock and Piet Mondrian.
