Autumn Term
Under the topic heading “Special Times” we will look at some of the occasions we celebrate throughout our lives, including their origins and meanings. We will look at individual milestones as well as recurring festivals particular to a variety of faith communities and try to appreciate their significance and value.

- Harvest – the historical origins of Harvest & how we celebrate it now (Christianity)
- The Miracle of the Loaves and the Fishes (Christianity)
- Weddings – the origins and reasons for marriage. (Christianity and Sikhism).
- Wesak – origins and activities involved. (Buddhism)
- Divali – origins and activities involved (Hinduism)
- Hanukkah – origins and activities involved (Judaism)
- Advent – origins and activities involved (Christianity)
