We run personal development programmes to recognise individual pupil development.
Year 7 and 8
Created to encourage independence and development of students in Years 7 and 8, the Mighty Oak is an exciting programme that nurtures the characteristics and life skills that all Crosfields pupils to aspire to. The programme is based upon an individual’s desire to broaden their range of interests and persevere in activities which they may not be used to, and celebrates their achievements and successes. They will be recognised and rewarded for all of the skills and achievements that they attain.
Years 9 - 11
From Year 9, students are encouraged to focus on depth, not breadth, thus enhancing their individual skills. The personal development programme will run for all students from Year 9 through to Year 11, and will promote individual growth and self-reflection. There will be a minimum hourly requirement and activities can cover more than one area (for example Leadership and Citizenship).
Our Personal Development Programmes are made up of five areas:
- Citizenship, including community service and charity
- Creative and cultural
- Leadership and responsibility
