I have been working as a qualified paediatric nurse for over 30 years and have enjoyed varying roles within this field. I have worked for the Outward Bound Trust and PGL Adventure and up until 2013 worked for the NHS both in hospital, caring for acutely sick children, and in Special School caring for children with complex health needs.
Outside of school I enjoy cycling and mountain walking with my husband and two grown up children. I volunteer as a nurse for Dreamflight, a charity which takes children with complex medical conditions to Florida each year for a ten day holiday of a lifetime.
I am available between 8.30am and 4.30pm on school days to provide medical care and first aid to pupils. I am happy to discuss any concerns regarding your child’s health either by phone or email. It is important that you inform me of any changes in your child’s health as it may impact on their learning.
On the days that I am not in school the class teams are able to provide first aid cover and can administer prescribed medications providing the appropriate forms have been filled in. (these are available on the website or at the school office).
