Meet our new House Captains!

Lake House

Hello, I am Dheeran, the new Lake House Captain. Being House Captain is something that I am looking forward to this term. I am also excited to be working with Mr Keepax too. Did you know that I play the drums? I’m doing my grade 4 exam soon. I hope I pass. I am also very passionate about Cricket and Formula One. These are my top two favourite sports, and my backup careers. You might be thinking about what my preferred job would be, which would be a mechanic or an engineer (I can’t see the difference between the two!) or, in simpler terms, someone who uses electrics, wood and metal, as well as a little bit of plastic, to build things.

Last year with Lake it was a great pleasure to be a part of the #redcommunity and this year I hope to see more skills displayed, celebration and, most importantly, more fun! It doesn’t matter whether we win or not, the experience is all that is of importance.

So now you know all about me, I hope that my aspirations for the term come true. Until we meet again, good luck to you all.
Dheeran, Lake House Captain

Marlborough House
Hello, my name is Ella, and I am the new House Captain for Marlborough.

I am very excited to be the house captain, and hopefully will do a good job. I am an extremely caring person and will always help people, like showing them where everything is around the school and helping them to settle in.  I want to help the school as much as possible, by organising fun charity events. I want to include everyone’s ideas and I am open to suggestions from my peers. I want to make everything we do as a house fun. I will try my hardest to help everyone, and make them feel very happy and excited to be in Marlborough. I look forward to the term ahead!
Ella, Marlborough House Captain

School House

My name is Zak, and I am the NEW house captain of School house. As the house captain, I want to represent the badge in the best way possible. As this is a big responsibility, I will be conscientious and give 100% in everything I do, while also looking out for others. I will be as organised as I can, making sure I do as much as possible to get this role right. I hope my efforts will make School the best house to be in. But most importantly, I will make this role fun!
Zak, School House Captain

#WalkItWednesday

Thank you to many of you who took part in our last ‘Walk it Wednesday’. It was great to see so many participating.

Wednesday 5th October marks our next ‘Walk it Wednesday’ and it would be fantastic to see even more families take part this time around!

If you live too far away to walk, then why not park within our 5-minute walking bubble and walk in from there? If you choose to do this, please remember to park your vehicle safely, in line with the Highway Code and consider our local residents. Click here to see our walking bubble.

Choosing to complete just a short walk to school can be great for our health and our environment!

Informal Concerts – General Information
Throughout the year we hold several informal concerts at Crosfields. These occasions are an ideal opportunity for new and experienced players to perform in an informal environment with a smaller audience and enjoy listening to a range of performances from other children. Mistakes will happen! This is a great environment to conquer nerves, learn how to recover from mistakes and practice dealing with the pressure of performing, with an understanding and encouraging audience.

If they are participating, the pupils may often be asked to perform to a teacher in school prior to the concert, to ensure they are confident with their piece and we will arrange a rehearsal for any pupils who need an accompanist on the day.

Please ensure your child brings their music to school on the day they are performing, including any accompaniments. Parents are warmly invited to watch their children perform and collect them directly from the theatre after the concert. The concerts last around 45 minutes.

Tuesday 11th October – Nursery and Reception Theatre visits – We are excited to welcome two theatre companies – The Freshwater Theatre Company and the Treehouse Theatre Company who will be visiting our Nursery and Reception Children.
