This academic year, some new faces will be seen around Crosfields as the school moves into the next phase of its exciting plan to extend its age range to sixteen.
A series of high-profile teaching appointments were made during the summer term, with many teachers keen to join Crosfields at this pivotal time in the school's history. The school received an overwhelming set of applications from teachers currently in both independent and state schools across Berkshire and beyond, for the newly created and vacant positions that were available.
One such successful appointment was Mr. Richard Ebbage who joins the school's Senior Leadership Team as new Deputy Head Academic. Moving to Crosfields from a similar position at Shiplake College in Henley, Richard brings considerable expertise in teaching and mentoring children and adolescents. Prior to Shiplake he was Head of Department and Assistant Housemaster at a boarding house. Richard has also taught Maths and Psychology at GCSE and A-level, and is very much looking forward to working with pupils at Crosfields.
Crosfields is also delighted to welcome Mrs. Emma West to the school. Emma joins Crosfields as Head of Maths from The Abbey School in Reading where she was their Second in Maths and Head of Year 7. An extremely experienced teaching professional, Emma has taught maths at GCSE and Maths and Further Maths at A-level.
Other new appointments include Alex Murray-Smith from Bohunt School as a Science teacher, Daniel Furkins from Prospect School and Ian Anderson from Brackenhale School join the English department, and Amy Saunders from Tring School joins the Maths department.
