Last term, 38 Crosfields pupils from Years 3 to 6 took part in the Junior Language Challenge, a national competition that encourages independent learning and a love of languages from a young age.
For the first round, the children had to learn German and obtain a minimum of 500 points to qualify for the second round. The Languages department was delighted to report that many children qualified for the second round and went on to learn French. Furthermore, Crosfields heard recently that two pupils in Years 4 and 5 respectively made it through to the regional final of the challenge! Sammy and Shaunak were overjoyed when they heard the news, however at the time of writing it hadn’t been confirmed when the final will take place. Well done boys, and to all the children that took part.
