Crosfields is a co-educational independent day preparatory school for children aged 3-13 years. Set in 40 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Reading, it currently has approximately 500 pupils. Founded in 1957, Crosfields celebrated its Golden Jubilee recently and offers a high standard of learning achieved within a happy, caring and stimulating environment.
Crosfields has an excellent record of academic success, with all Year 8 leavers gaining places at their senior schools of choice in recent years including a good number of scholars. Facilities are modern and of a very high standard. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, sports hall, theatre and music school and the classrooms are light and spacious. A new building, The Oaks, was opened in October 2007 and houses a state of the art IT suite, library and Design Technology department in addition to further senior classrooms while the Nursery opened in September 2008 in a spacious detached house within the grounds with bespoke garden and play areas.
We hope this website gives you a flavour of what we have to offer, although there is no substitute for seeing the school in action. Crosfields holds termly open mornings and we also welcome private visits.
