Pupil Leadership & Responsibilities

For many of our pupils, the opportunity to take on a leadership role is a highlight of their school career.

We offer a range of stimulating leadership roles and responsibilities that enable our pupils to practice their public speaking, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, and lateral thinking.

We have seen even our most reserved pupils blossom into a more confident version of themselves after taking on a leadership role.

We give children the chance to have a purpose and feel important — both of which are essential for mental wellbeing.

There are plenty of ways for pupils to take on additional responsibility at Crosfields, including:

Senior pupils are awarded Prefect roles in different areas of the school.
Senior pupils offer mentoring to younger pupils, sharing their subject knowledge and inspiring their peers.
Some pupils assist teaching staff with their specialist subjects.
Children have the opportunity to plan and organise school events.
Pupils regularly arrange and lead assemblies for their classmates.
A team of Crosfields pupils welcome visitors to the school and show families around.

We are keen to provide opportunities that motivate and guide pupils to achieve their authentic potential. Not only are leadership opportunities incredibly fulfilling; but they also look great on college applications.
