Senior Enrichment Programme
The Seniors Enrichment Programme at Crosfields School is designed to provide a broad, thorough, and enjoyable education, encouraging pupils to explore their passions and strive for academic excellence. The programme includes a variety of activities aimed at developing essential life skills, creativity, and project management abilities. Each year group has a tailored set of activities that align with the school’s strategic goals and the needs of the pupils.
Year 7 focuses on foundational skills with activities like the ÂŁ10 Challenge for financial literacy, cooking and first aid for life skills, musical theatre for creativity, and the iDEA award for digital literacy. Year 8 builds on these skills with the Peter Jones Enterprise Scheme, self-defence, touch typing, photography, and the Ian Michael Award, encouraging research and presentation skills. Year 9 introduces more advanced projects such as Barclay’s Life Skills, Model United Nations, Toastmasters, movie making, and the Higher Project Qualification (HPQ), which is a research-based qualification equivalent to half a GCSE.
The programme also includes unique elements like the iDEA award, which focuses on digital literacy and enterprise skills, and the Ian Michael Award, which honours a former headteacher and encourages pupils to research and present on personal interests. The HPQ allows pupils to explore topics of their choice in depth, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Overall, the Enrichment Programme aims to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills needed for future success, both academically and personally.
