Time for the next exciting step – Reception to Year 6

In Juniors, you will be astonished by the pace at which children grow and develop as individuals, discovering their personalities, abilities and strengths.

Now is the stage where we introduce a more diversified curriculum, with even more focus on specialist subjects – such as drama, art, design and technology, music, physical education and sports and computer science. Pupils follow the ASPIRE learning profile which is mirrored throughout the school.

We involve your child in a carefully crafted combination of practical and study-based classes in a positive, stimulating environment.

Our philosophy of ‘stretch and challenge’ is fuelled by healthy meals, enjoyed in the Dining Hall. Children can also have Breakfast with us (from 07:30) meaning you can start your working day, knowing they are safe and happy and starting the day with their friends.

45 acres to explore

An inspiring environment

Vibrant, spacious classrooms, overlooking the Berkshire countryside and our own sports pitches, inspire learning, laughter and creativity. Small class sizes allow us to encourage every child’s personal development.

We never underestimate the power of play and encourage children to enjoy exploring the extensive outdoor space at break and lunchtimes. Our talented and highly trained team take pride in getting to know all your children and identifying their individual needs, strengths and areas of interest.

All children enjoy weekly lessons in our exceptional 25m swimming pool with a depth-adjusting floor. Every child has the chance to take part more competitively through inter-house and inter-school galas. Crosfields has a well-deserved reputation for success in the pool and enjoys a close relationship with local club, Tilehurst Swimming Club.

Play your part or hold your tune….

We produce a Junior show in which your child has a chance to shine, whether it’s in the leading role, performing in a concert, singing in a choir or behind the scenes.  There’s something for all…

Children have the opportunity to join the Junior Choir, entertain on special school occasions or represent Crosfields at competitions and festivals such as Woodley Festival.

We offer expert music tuition where children can explore how music provides a creative outlet and develop future passions.
