We place great value on children learning outside of the classroom.
Educational visits offer an invaluable opportunity to enrich children’s learning, raise their self esteem, increase their motivation and appetite for learning and raise levels of achievement in many aspects of their life and education.
Educational visits can provide the most enjoyable experiences and enduring memories from school days. Throughout the school year we take the children on trips that inspire and motivate our children in new and exciting ways, helping to bring learning to life.
All our Educational visits support the aims of the school, enriching the curriculum and making learning more meaningful and purposeful to our pupils.
We also offer a range of residential trips. These trips, in particular, offer unique opportunities to encounter the practical realities of living together away from home, family and familiar surroundings. They provide a powerful vehicle for developing self-awareness and social skills. Pupils look forward to their first residential trip, an overnight stay not too far from home. Children in Year 2 are the first to experience this. The length of residential trips extends each year culminating in the older children having many opportunities to spend nights away. Such opportunities include ski trips, music and sports tours, cultural visits, outdoor learning opportunities (such as Bushcraft) and in Year 9 and 11, a World Challenge.
