Children are naturally inquisitive. Crosfields Nursery provides a safe and nurturing space, where every child is encouraged to explore new concepts, develop key skills, make friends and prepare for life, as part of the Pre-Prep community, and beyond.

When children join us, parents observe the patience and kindness shown to each child, as they transition to spending their days as part of our Crosfields community.

Why choose Crosfields Nursery?

We understand that making the right choice when selecting a Nursery is the start of something special.

Our philosophy is to deliver the very best early educational experiences for your child, keeping up to date with the latest research, scientific discovery and expert recommendations into Early Years Development.

The use of neutral tones and natural materials help to create a calm environment and allows the children’s work to be the highlight of our displays. Each day combines play and exploration, alongside carefully planned adult led activities, including ‘Dough Discos’ and ‘Squiggle Whilst you Wiggle’, to ensure our Nursery children are immersed in learning from the beginning.

Crosfields Nursery occupies its own defined area on the Crosfields campus, providing a hub for activities in our own building. The facilities here are custom designed, to enable us to deliver sessions for 3 to 4-year-olds, which are specially designed for their programme of learning.

Our nursery is open from 08:30-15:15 during term time. For those needing additional wrap-around care there is also the option of breakfast club (from 07:45) and after school care (until 17:50) at an additional charge.

Although they enjoy our home in the Nursery, we are also an integral part of Crosfields School and are able to take part in a full range of sports and other activities, taking advantage of the exceptional facilities. Specialist teachers deliver lessons in music, French, PE, games, swimming and Forest School.

When can children join Crosfields School?

Children can join our Nursery the September before they turn 4, this gives them plenty of time to settle into school life before starting our Reception classes. We understand that the first adventure away from home can be daunting for some children, and we are here to work with you to help them settle in. We can offer flexibility in the number of sessions your child attends, with up to 15 hours support from the government’s Early Years Funding Scheme.
