As part of our Harvest Festival celebrations at Crosfields School, we were proud to support the Wokingham Food Bank by collecting donations to help those in need within our local community.
Over the course of the week, our families brought in an incredible range of items — from nappies and toiletries to tinned and dried foods. The generosity was overwhelming. By the time we loaded up the school minibus, it was so full that Mr Baker had to clear space just to fit in our three Year 6 charity reps who joined us for the delivery!
This morning, we made the trip to Wokingham Food Bank, where our pupils helped unpack the donations and fill the trolleys. The staff at the food bank were visibly surprised and delighted by the volume of contributions and kindly gave our reps a VIP tour of the facility. They explained how donations are sorted, packed, and distributed — giving our pupils a real insight into the impact of their efforts.
It was a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We’re incredibly proud of our school community for coming together to support such a vital cause.
Crosfields School continues to foster a culture of kindness, empathy, and active citizenship, and we look forward to supporting more local initiatives throughout the year.
