Mr Nick Shryane

Nick brings the insights of an experienced bursar to the Board, having been the Bursar of Harrow School for 26 years, the Vice Chair of the Independent Schools Bursars Association and having, since “retirement”, undertaken a number of interim bursars’ roles including Crosfields where he spent a few months as the School’s interim Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) in 2024.

Prior to his career in independent schools, he was a cavalry officer (The Light Dragoons) in the British Army, and retired after 18 years in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Educationally his background is in History (BA Oxon) and International Relations (MPhil Cantab) and he describes his interests as eclectic, ranging from his family to wine, music and an array of sports including Real Tennis which he plays actively.
