Seniors

Crosfields Seniors is a vibrant, academically ambitious community where pupils are encouraged to aim high and supported to achieve their personal best. Our teaching philosophy centres on “teach to the top and scaffold up”, ensuring every pupil is both challenged and guided as they grow in confidence and capability. This commitment reflects our wider dedication to innovation, diversity and opportunity, three pillars that define a Crosfields education.

A broad and enriching education

Opportunity is embedded in every aspect of school life. Our enriching and varied programme includes sessions on sleep and breathwork, the £10 entrepreneurship challenge, podcasting, and insights into creative and cultural careers, all designed to broaden horizons and build confidence.

Learning extends far beyond the classroom. Pupils enjoy trips ranging from STEM visits to Williams F1 to eco-sustainability expeditions in destinations such as Malaysia and Thailand, experiences that nurture curiosity and develop global awareness. In keeping with our forward-looking culture, we equip pupils with future-ready skills through modern learning environments and an agile curriculum that adapts to individual strengths and interests.

Character, independence and community

Every pupil is encouraged to discover their individuality and express it with confidence, a defining feature of our boundless and embracing school community. Through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Year 9, pupils develop resilience, leadership and teamwork as they take part in expeditions and volunteering.

Across Seniors, pupils contribute to the wider community by supporting local charities and helping younger pupils with reading, Maths and clubs. Our personalised approach allows us to tailor pathways, whether adjusting timetables for talented athletes, offering additional GCSEs such as Dance, Mandarin, Italian or Astronomy, or providing bespoke pastoral and academic support. Pupils also benefit from time with Woody, our much-loved therapy dog.

An inspiring place to learn

Crosfields Seniors is based in Aspire, our award-winning, architect-designed building filled with natural light and purposefully created to support motivation, collaboration and focus.

Here, pupils follow the ASPIRE Learning Profile, developing resilience, independence and the mindset needed to embrace real-world challenges. This reflects our expert, research-informed approach to learning and wellbeing, which helps pupils understand themselves as learners and thrive within a rapidly changing world.

We are committed to supporting, encouraging and challenging every pupil throughout their Senior years. Our specialist teachers provide high-quality academic guidance, helping pupils excel across subjects and preparing them for demanding future pathways. As pupils progress, they benefit from an expanding curriculum that allows them to choose subjects that reflect their interests, passions and long-term goals.

A community dedicated to growth

Crosfields pupils are known, valued and supported. We work in partnership with families to help every child grow into a confident, capable young person ready to make meaningful contributions to society. Our exceptional facilities and expansive grounds provide the space, inspiration and opportunity pupils need to explore their interests and pursue their ambitions. This is a community where belonging matters, and where pupils feel free to be themselves.

Looking ahead: Our new Sixth Form

Opening in 2028, the Crosfields Sixth Form marks an exciting new chapter, building on our values of ambition, integrity, kindness and growth. With dedicated facilities in the newly refurbished Chestnuts building, pupils will benefit from inspiring spaces for independent study, collaboration and specialist teaching.

The Sixth Form will offer a broad range of A Levels and BTEC qualifications, strong pastoral care and a rich co-curricular programme, ensuring every pupil is supported as they prepare for life beyond school. It will be a vibrant, ambitious community where pupils are encouraged to lead, explore and grow into the very best version of themselves.
