Seniors School Day

The school day typically begins with morning registration, although some pupils choose to start earlier by joining our supervised Breakfast Club from 07:30. After meeting with their tutor, pupils take part in a rotating schedule of activities, which may include tutor time, a Collect (assembly), singing practice, or a House Meet. Lessons begin at 09:00.

Most lessons last one hour, with the occasional half-hour session. Pupils enjoy two one-hour lessons before break at 11:00.

Learning resumes at 11:30 and continues until lunchtime. Lunch is served in The Hatch from 13:00, with Years 10 and 11 remaining in lessons until 13:30 due to their staggered timetable.

The academic or sporting curriculum restarts at 14:00 (14:30 for Years 10 and 11), followed by two further one-hour lessons. The day ends at 16:00 for pupils in Years 7–9, while older pupils finish at 16:30.

After school, pupils may stay on to join Prep (homework) Club in the library or take part in a wide range of extracurricular activities. Clubs run until 17:30, and the library remains open for independent study until 18:00.

Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils on their GCSE Results!

Crosfields School is celebrating another exceptional set of GCSE results, with pupils achieving impressive outcomes across a wide range of subjects and the school’s value-added performance once again recognised among the top 10% nationally.
