What we look for in applicants

We seek pupils who show a deep understanding of their discipline and the ability to inspire others through enthusiasm and commitment. Ideal candidates demonstrate curiosity, ambition and a willingness to continue developing their skills. Alongside existing achievements, we value the potential pupils show for future excellence. Applicants complete a formal application and provide a school reference. Those shortlisted are invited to an assessment tailored to their chosen scholarship area, giving them the opportunity to showcase their strengths, passion and creativity.

Scholarship categories

Scholarships are available for both current and new Year 7 pupils across four key areas: Academic, Sport, Creative & Performing Arts, and All-Rounder. Each category offers unique opportunities to deepen subject expertise, develop talent and contribute meaningfully to school life. Scholars may benefit from experiences including enhanced coaching, workshops, specialist teaching and mentoring. With each award, pupils join a vibrant community of learners who demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm in their field, ensuring that Crosfields continues to nurture and celebrate diverse strengths and aspirations.

The Scholar experience

Scholars receive first-rate opportunities that enrich their development, whether through sports coaching, art masterclasses or inspirational events. Scholarship benefits and expectations

Scholarship recipients receive a tuition fee discount ranging from 5% to 20%, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent. Scholars also gain further leadership opportunities, contributing to their personal growth. As part of their award, pupils are expected to support activities within their chosen field, including assisting with lessons for younger pupils, mentoring peers, and attending school events or exhibitions. Some scholarships additionally provide exclusive access to events and trips typically reserved for GCSE pupils, enriching their overall experience.
