Recognition for the talent within and new to our community

The awarding of a scholarship is a significant moment for both the pupil and the school. From the perspective of the pupil, it is a recognition of the significant progress they have made in the scholarship area up to that point and should be used as a springboard to develop further still.

From the school’s point of view, it is a celebration of the strength and diversity of our community and a commitment to both use the human capital at our disposal and ensure this is harnessed and built upon.

There are four categories of scholarships available for both current and new pupils in Year 7:

Academic, Sport, Creative and Performing Arts and All-Rounder

Please find out more by reading our scholarship information booklet

We look forward to working with our Scholars and seeing how they develop through their time in the Senior School.
Mr R Ebbage, Deputy Head (Academic)

The scholarship will be awarded as part of a tuition fee discount but will also lead to further leadership opportunities for the selected pupils. Here is a booklet with all of the key information regarding the individual scholarships. Scholarship applications for 2024-25 are now closed.

Become an ambassador for their school and subject

As part of the scholarship award, pupils are expected to support activities within their chosen field. This will include supporting lessons for our younger pupils, providing mentorship to their peers or attending events and exhibitions.

Some of the scholarships also provide exclusive access to events and trips reserved for GCSE pupils.

How to stand out from the crowd

We are an ambitious school and we want to see that same ambition within our applicants. That means a deep understanding of their subject area, the ability to bring people into their passion and curiosity to learn more.

You will be required to complete a form and submit a reference from your current school. If successful you will be invited to attend an assessment based on your chosen area. Applicants will be notified if they are successful on 31 January 2024.
