Crosfields recently held its highly anticipated Seniors House Music Competition, and it was a resounding success! The event featured an array of performances that highlighted the incredible musical talent of our Senior pupils.
Participants from all four houses—Corylus, Ilex, Quercus, and Salix—competed in various categories, including solo vocal, instrumental, and group performances. Each act was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience, which included fellow pupils, teachers, and proud parents.
Standout performances of the evening included the solo vocal acts and impressive piano performances by Miles, Dylan, Isha, Timothy, and Feively. The group performances were equally spectacular. Corylus House delivered a harmonious and energetic medley of “Lose You to Love You,” while Salix House’s two-person band wowed the crowd with their rendition of “Walking in the Air.” Quercus showcased their talent with “One Day More,” and Ilex House closed the night with a spectacular performance of “Billie Jean.”
Director of Music, Mr Adams, praised all the participants for their hard work and dedication. “I have great admiration for all of these talented pupils who have worked so hard to produce their excellent performances. The ensemble class in particular showed that making music together is the best part and so rewarding” he said.
The evening concluded with the announcement of the overall house winner. The runners-up were:
- Feively from Corylus on Piano
- Amy from Salix in Instrumental
- Victoria from Quercus in Vocal
- Miles and Amy from Salix in the Ensemble category
The winners were:
